Flex Advantage (Pre-pay Electric Service Program)

Your cooperative is pleased to announce a new pre-pay electric service program that provides an option for members to avoid high deposits and potential late fees.

The program, Flex Advantage, is easily managed by participants through the website www.myusage.com. Flex Advantage also encourages participants to be more mindful of their energy consumption which saves them money and helps to reduce electric demand.

What is Flex Advantage ?

A:
Flex Advantage is a prepaid meter service which allows the member to purchase electricity on a "pay as you go" basis.
 

Q: What are the benefits of Flex Advantage?

A: With Flex Advantage there are no required deposits or late fees. You control the balance on your account and how much energy you use.


Q:
How much is my initial payment if I am a current member?

A: Members with no outstanding charges can establish a Flex Advantage
account with a $50 minimum payment plus connection charges. Existing
members can apply their current deposit as part of the first payment.
 

Q: How can I track my electric usage and credit balance to avoid
disconnection of service?

A: Flex Advantage makes it easy to monitor both usage and credit
balances through an online system at www.myusage.com. Also, notices about your account can be sent to your cell phone or email.


Q:
What payment options are available?

A: All existing payment methods with CEC are supported by the Flex Advantage program.


Q:
If I decide to no longer participate in this program, am I eligible to change back to the regular billing option?

A: Yes – you may return to standard billing at any time, but you will be
required to pay a deposit if you don’t have one with your account.


Q:
Will I still get a monthly electric bill?

A: No – Because you are paying for service before you use it therefore you will not have a bill to pay at the end of the month.


Q:
How do I enroll in Flex Advantage?

A: You can sign up at any CEC office with locations in Sanford, Brantley, Samson and Enterprise.
